Source: Pali Kanon: Pali Proper NamesAn arahant. In the time of Vipassi Buddha he was a cakkavaka dwelling on the banks of the river Sindhu. One day, seeing the Buddha travelling through the air, the bird offered him a sala flower in its beak.
Seventeen kappas ago he was king eighteen times under the name of Sucarudassana (Ap.i.113).
He is probably identical with Punnamasa Thera. ThagA.i.53f.
