pañhavyākaraṇa : (nt.) answering question.

Pañhavyākaraṇa refers to: mode of answering questions, of which there are 4, viz. ekaṃsa “direct, ” vibhajja “qualified, ” paṭipucchā “after further questioning, ” ṭhapanīya “not to be answered or left undecided, ” thus enumerated at D. III, 229; A. I, 197 sq.; II, 46; Miln. 339. (Page 391)

Note: pañhavyākaraṇa is a Pali compound consisting of the words pañha and vyākaraṇa.
