Ōraṅkal (ஓரங்கல்) noun < Telugu craṅgal. Name of the ancient capital of Āndhra, now called Warangal, so called because it was surrounded by a single stone wall; தெலுங்குதேசத்து வாரங் கல்நகரம். உருத்தரா நின்னுடைய வோரங்கல் நாட்டில் [thelunguthesathu varang kalnagaram. uruthara ninnudaiya vorangal nattil] (தமிழ்நாவலர் சரிதை [thamizhnavalar sarithai] 89).
