Ophuṭa, (a difficult, but legitimate form arisen out of analogy, fusing ava-vuta (= Sk. vṛta from vṛ; opp. *apāvuta = P. apāruta) and ava-phuṭa (Sk. sphuṭa from sphuṭ).
