Vyakarana (Sanskrit grammar)
Nyak (न्यक्).—A technical term in the Jainendra Vyākarana for the term उपसर्जन (upasarjana) defined by Pānini in the rules प्रथमानिर्दिष्टं समास उपसर्जनम् (prathamānirdiṣṭaṃ samāsa upasarjanam) and एक-विभक्ति चा पूर्वनिपाते (eka-vibhakti cā pūrvanipāte) P.I.2.43, 44.

Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.

Nyak (न्यक्).—ind. An adverb, prefixed to कृ (kṛ) or भू (bhū), to imply 'contempt', 'degradation' or 'humiliation'.
Nyak (न्यक्).—ind. A particle implying abuse or contempt when prefixed to ku or bhū. E. The neuter of nyañca used as a particle.
