怒目攢眉 [nù mù zǎn méi] [nu mu zan mei]—
Eyes blazing with anger (眼冒怒火 [yan mao nu huo]), eyebrows tightly furrowed (眉毛緊蹙 [mei mao jin cu]). Describes an extremely angry expression. From Chapter 30 of Journey to the West (《西遊記 [xi you ji]》): "One only saw that monster with glaring eyes and knitted brows, gritting his teeth (咬牙切齒 [yao ya qie chi])."
