Source: Shodhganga: New look on the kushan bengaliThe Kushan urban settlement has been found at Noh, in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. The excavations conducted here have brought to notice of five habitational layers of which Period V at Noh, has been assigned to the period from the 2 nd century B.C to late 3 rd century A.D. This cultural period exposed typical terracotta animal and human figurines with elaborate coiffure, jewellery and Kushan pottery. Other important findings with Kushan features are a bowl inscribed with Brahmi. characters, sherds with triratna and fish symbol resembling the specimens from the Period IV ( Kushan ) of Hastinapura, toy carts, dice, flesh rubber, potter’s stamp, etc.
