Nivala (निवल).—nt., a high number: Mahāvyutpatti 7864 = Tibetan stobs yas without strength (as if nirbala!); cited from Gaṇḍavyūha, which however reads in the corresponding list nilamba, q.v. (metathesis of syllables has taken place in one direction or the other). Cf. nevala.
