Nityānityatvavāda (नित्यानित्यत्ववाद) refers to the “doctrine of eternity-and-noneternity (of the Jainas)”.—The Śāstravārtāsamuccaya by Haribhadra Sūri’s is not a compendium of philosophical systems (darśana) but a comprehensive account (samuccaya) of doctrinal (śāstra) expositions (vārtā/vārttā) or simply doctrines (vāda).
