Niścayagarbha (निश्चयगर्भ) refers to one of the two types of Sandeha (doubt): a type of Alaṃkāra (figure of speech).—Niścayagarbha is when the doubt exists both at the beginning and the end. According to the author of the Sāhityadarpaṇa, when an object, under discussion is poetically suspected to be something else, it is called Sandeha or doubt.
