Ṇilopa (णिलोप).—Elision of the affix णि (ṇi) (णिच् (ṇic) or णिङ् (ṇiṅ) see above) before an ardhadhtuka affix without the augrnent इ (i) (इट् (iṭ)) prefixed to it; cf. णेरनिटि (ṇeraniṭi) P. VI. 4.51, and VI.4.52, 53, 54 also.
