Source: MDPI Books: The Ocean of HeroesNikāyasaṃgraha (निकायसंग्रह) is the name of a Singhalese chronicle written by Dhammakitti from the 14th to early 15th century. The Nikāyasaṃgraha mentions that the Cakrasaṃvara scripture was introduced into Sri Lanka during the reign of Matvalasen (Sena I, reign 846–866) (Szántó 2012 a, pp. 38–39).
Tibetan Buddhism includes schools such as Nyingma, Kadampa, Kagyu and Gelug. Their primary canon of literature is divided in two broad categories: The Kangyur, which consists of Buddha’s words, and the Tengyur, which includes commentaries from various sources. Esotericism and tantra techniques (vajrayāna) are collected indepently.
