Ex. ṭapakaṇa nija mahārapōra rātra śiḷī karatīla Make haste and get to sleep before the low castes make the night stale: an enforcing by by to children. 2 To recline, to be in a recumbent or jacent state. 3 To lie sick; to keep one's bed. 4 To sleep the sleep of death, to die. 5 To perish, sink, be lost; to be ruined--money adventured, a business or trade. 6 To sleep--one's fortune or luck: to be flat, languid, dull--business or employment: to lie extinct--power, glory, opulence: to lie desolate--a village, a house. nijalēlā mēlyāsārakhā The sleeper is as one dead. nijalyājāgīṃ vikaṇēṃ To order or dispose of absolutely through one's superior trickery; to gull or outwit and twist round one's thumb. nijūna uṭhaṇēṃ or uṭhata asaṇēṃ (agadī pāhaṭēsa, lavakara &c.)
