Nigṛhītṛ (निगृहीतृ).—i. e. a false form for ni-grah + ītṛ, m. 1. One who lays hold on somebody, [Daśakumāracarita] in Chr. 200, 13. 2. One who prevents somebody, [Bhāgavata-Purāṇa, (ed. Burnouf.)] 1, 12, 26.
