Nemināthavivāhalo (नेमिनाथविवाहलो) is the name of a work by Brahma Muni dealing with Jain universal history such as the Jinas and related figures.—The Nemināthavivāhalo (in Gujarati) is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—In this manuscript (of the Nemināthavivāhalo), the ḍhālas are not systematically numbered and the stanzas are sometimes numbered continously, sometimes separately. This is a full biography of the twenty-second Jina, starting with the story of his nine previous births, along with those of Rājimatī. Then Nemi was born as the son of Samudravijaya and Śivā. His mother saw the fourteen dreams. Śakra’s throne moved. At nemi’s birth gods and goddesses celebrated the event, etc. When he heard the animals scream, he asked the chariot-driver to turn the chariot back. Following his decision to give up the world, Rājimatī lamented. Her friends discussed with her. Nemi plucked out his hair. Later on Rājimatī met Rahanemi in a cave and led him back on the right path. The gods organized Nemi’s samavasaraṇa. the work closes with Nemi’s nirvāṇa, statistics regarding his community and the funeral rites performed by the gods.
