內外空 [nei wai kong]—Internal and External Emptiness: [Term] Contemplating the inner six sense organs (內六根 [nei liu gen]) and the outer six sense objects (外六塵 [wai liu chen]), there is no self or what belongs to self (無我我所 [wu wo wo suo]). The Tiantai (天台 [tian tai]) school's Commentary on the Benevolent Kings Sutra (仁王經疏 [ren wang jing shu]) states: "Internal and External Emptiness means that when the sense organs and their objects are contemplated in conjunction, there is no self or what belongs to self."

內外空—【術語】觀內六根,外六塵,無我我所也。天台仁王經疏中曰:「內外空者,根塵合觀,無我我所。」
