Natshal in East Medinipur district is an excavated site revealing Kushan presence.—The excavation at Natsal located on 22°H'59.8" was conducted by the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Govt, of West Bengal under the direction of Mr. Amal Roy for two consecutive seasons from 1998 - 2000. The site is situated on the east bank of river the river Rupnarayan within the village Natsal under the police station Mahishadal in East Midanpore district.
