Narmmada (नर्म्मद).—mfn.

(-daḥ-dā-daṃ) Delighting, making happy, giving pleasure. m.

(-daḥ) The associate or companion of a person’s sports or amusements. f.

(-dā) 1. The Narmada river, which rising in the Vind'hya mountains, runs westward to the gulf of Cambay. 2. A plant: see pṛkkā. E. narmma pleasure, and da what gives. narma dadāti dā-ka 6 ta0 sa0 .
