Nakaragaṇa is the name of a tank mentioned in the long and damaged inscription of Bhātikabhaya (B.C. 22-A.C. 7) and represents a locality that once existed in the ancient kingdom of Anurādhapura, Ceylon (Sri Lanka). A vihāra named Nakaraṅgaṇa in the eastern division built by Mahāsiva early in the 2nd century B.C.
