nācaṇa (नाचण).—f or nācaṇaghugarī f A coquette, wanton, flirt, rig, an airy and loose woman.

nācaṇā (नाचणा).—m nācaṇī f A grain, Cynosurus corocanus, or Eleusine corocana, Raggy. nācaṇā expresses the larger or coarser raggy; nācaṇī a fine variety. The species or varieties are numerous; viz. aśvinagōrī, kāḷapērī, ganthaḍyā, garavī ambaṇī, garavī śēta- gaurī, gaurīcā haḷavā, jābarī, jōgīṇa, ratnī, lōdyā, śēta- āḍagarā, sāṭhērī, haḷavī ambaṇī, haḷavī gaurī.
