Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarṆac (णच्).—Krt affix अ (a) in the sense of reciprocal action, added to any root; the affix णच् (ṇac) is to get necessarily the affix अञ् (añ) added to it followed by the fem. affix ई (ī) e.g. व्यावकोशी, व्यावहासी (vyāvakośī, vyāvahāsī); cf. Kas, on P.III.3.43 and P. V. 4.14.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
