Source: Wisdom Library: Bhagavata PuranaNārīkavaca (Nārīkavaca):—Another name for Balikā (son of Aśmaka, who was a son of Saudāsa). His name means “one who is protected by women”. Balikā was known as Nārīkavaca because he was surrounded by women and was therefore saved from the anger of Paraśurāma. (see Bhāgavata Purāṇa 9.9.40)
