The Muttettu fields of the Dewalaya supply the rice for it, and the tenants of the Malumura-panguwa the vegetables. It is cooked in the temple, mulutenge or kitchen, sometimes as often as three times a day. It is carried from the kitchen with great ceremony on a Kada by the proper Kattiyanaralas. All thus engaged in cooking, carrying and offering it should be of the Kapu family, by whom it is afterwards eaten.
