muraḍakānavalā (मुरडकानवला).—or -kānhōlā m A back-curling kā-navalā or puff. mu0 khāṇēṃ (To eat a kānhōlā or puff with turnedback edge.) To turn back and come again. The phrase arises from the practice of kind mamas giving a crimpled puff to their little boy or girl on his or her setting forth to the wedding, in symbolic intimation that they desire a speedy turning back homewards.
