Source: DDSA: A practical Hindi-English dictionary1) Muṃḍa (मुंड) [Also spelled mund]:—(nm) the head; head severed from the trunk; ~[māla(ा)] a garland of (severed) heads/skulls; ~[mālī] an epithet of Lord Shiv (supposed to wear a [muṃḍamāla]).
2) Muṃḍā (मुंडा) [Also spelled muda]:—(a) hornless (as -[baila]); bald-headed; shaven-headed; (nf) a language spoken by some aboriginals in Bihar; (nm) a lad; boy-servant; boots.
3) Mūṃḍa (मूंड):—(nm) head; —[māranā] to tax one’s brain; to exert; to try to explain something to a nitwit; —[muṃḍānā] to get the head shaven (esp. as a mark of adoption of ascetic life).
