Mūla-bhṛtya.—(SITI), the chief servant; also called Caṇḍe- śvara who was the chief servant of Śiva. Note: mūla-bhṛtya is defined in the “Indian epigraphical glossary” as it can be found on ancient inscriptions commonly written in Sanskrit, Prakrit or Dravidian languages.
