mudana (मुदन).—f n mudanī f A button-loop; a loop in general. 2 A series of loops, as along a salitā or gōṇī. 3 Any locket, clasp, looped latchet or catch. 4 The leathern loop of a horse's heel-ropes. 5 A bit of flour prepared for khīra. 6 The ring or eye at the end of an āsūḍa (ploughman's whip); the ring or loop of a baṭavā or purse; the end-portion of an ākha or axle.
