Mṛdutaruṇahastapādatalatā (मृदुतरुणहस्तपादतलता) or Mṛdutaruṇahastapādatala refers to “hands and soles that are soft and tender” and represents the fourth of the “thirty-two marks of a great man” (lakṣaṇa) as defined in the Dharma-saṃgraha (section 83). The Dharma-samgraha (Dharmasangraha) is an extensive glossary of Buddhist technical terms in Sanskrit (e.g., mṛdu-taruṇa-hasta-pāda-talatā).
