Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarymōḍakī kāṇṭī (मोडकी कांटी).—f A broken-down thorny bush. Applied fig. to a fallen tyrant or a decayed man of power. Ex. mōḍakī kāṇṭīlā harakōṇhī tuḍavitō. Also mōḍakī kāṭhī (A broken stick) in the above sense, and, additionally, in the sense of A brokendown person; as Pr. mōḍakī kāṭhī bhalatāca lāṭī A spent or enfeebled person is exposed to oppression from any and every body.
