Source: Asian Agri-History: Paśu Āyurvēda (Veterinary Medicine) in GaruḍapurāṇaMilk pudding (in Sanskrit: dugdha-pāyasa) is used in the treatment of injured horses, according to sections on the treatment of Horses (Gajāyurveda or Aśvāyurveda) in the Garuḍapurāṇa.—[The management of ardha-praharāśva (partially/slightly injured horse)]—The horse when hurt or injured should be treated immediately so as to keep fit. When the horse is partially injured, in such condition guggulu is advised. And the diet should be dugdhapāyasa (milk pudding) for immediate/ speedily recovery.
