From a ci (詞 [ci]) poem by Shao Ruipeng (邵瑞彭 [shao rui peng]) of the Qing (清 [qing]) Dynasty, titled "Autumn Thoughts: Whinnying Horses by Fánlóu" (秋思 [qiu si].嘶馬樊樓側 [si ma fan lou ce]): "Whinnying horses (嘶馬 [si ma]) by Fánlóu (樊樓 [fan lou]) side, past events (前事 [qian shi]) linger like a dream (駐 [zhu]), the moss-colored (苔色 [tai se]) abandoned pond (廢池 [fei chi])."
