1. Waist-cord; அரைஞாண். அரைசெய் மேகலையான் [araignan. araisey megalaiyan] (தேவாரம் [thevaram] 281, 9).

A waist-cord of moonja grass in three strands, used by a piramacāri; பிரமசாரி தன் இடையிலணிவதற்கு உரிய முஞ்சியாலியன்ற முப் புரிக்கயிறு. முஞ்சியெனும் புன்மூன்று புரியினுறு கயிறு . . . மேகலை [piramasari than idaiyilanivatharku uriya munchiyaliyanra mup purikkayiru. munchiyenum punmunru puriyinuru kayiru . . . megalai] (திருவானைக்காவுலா கோச்செங்.
