Maruntu (மருந்து) noun cf. amṛta. [Telugu: mandu, K. mardu, M. marunnu.]

1. Medicine; ஔஷ தம். [ausha tham.] (திருக்குறள், அதி. [thirukkural, athi.] 95.) ஆசைநோய்க்கு மருந்துமுண் டாங்கொலோ [asainoykku marunthumun dangolo] (கம்பராமாயணம் மிதிலைக். [kambaramayanam mithilaig.] 80).
