marāmata (मरामत).—f ( A) Preserving in good condition, state, or order; keeping in repair: also the condition or order so preserved. v rākha, kara. 2 The various operations (of manuring, raking &c.) in dressing up a field; (of kneading, rolling &c.) in preparing dough; (of treading &c.) in tempering mortar; (of drawing, cleaning &c.) in making silk; (of mingling, levigating, mashing, compounding &c.) in working up anything: also such dressed up, worked, or wrought state. 3 (Mistaken for karāmata) Skilfulness, ingenuity, cleverness. Ex. tyā purūṣācī ma0 bhalatyāsa yēṇāra nāhīṃ.
