Māṇikkam (மாணிக்கம்) noun < māṇikya. Ruby, carbuncle, of which there are four kinds, viz., cāturaṅkam, kuruvintam, caukantikam, kōvāṅkam, one of navamaṇi, q.v.; நவமணியி லொன்றும் சாதுரங்கம் குருவிந்தம் சௌகந்தி கம் கோவாங்கம் என்ற நான்கு பகுப்பினையுடையது மான செந்நிறமணி.
