Manaḥkṣālana (मनःक्षालन) refers to “washing something mentally”, according to Brahmayāmala verse 45.276-277.—Accordingly, “[...] Then having offered libation in the śaktipīṭha and kissed (it), the one who recites mantra should place the penis there and begin to wash (it) mentally [i.e., manaḥkṣālana]”.
