Makrani refers to “Inhabitant of the city Makran that is situated in the north-west of Sindh. They are descendent of the community Makran. Originally, this community belonged to Makran of Baluchistan. The derivates of Sahi Khurani is Makrani. Sahi means fish, and khurani means eater. Makran is deserted city so that people of Makran survive on fish and dates that are available in the sea. They came to Saurashtra for the purpose of business.
