1) a great sage or saint; यस्मादृषिः परत्वेन महांस्त- स्मान्महर्षयः (yasmādṛṣiḥ paratvena mahāṃsta- smānmaharṣayaḥ); (the term is applied in Manusmṛti 1.34 to the ten Prajāpatis or patriarchs of mankind, but it is also used in the general sense of 'a great sage').
2) Name of Sacute;iva.
3) of Buddha.
