Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarymacaṇēṃ (मचणें).—v i unc ( H) To swell and abound; to rise and prevail in force;--used of revelry, riot, and wild doings, much in the sense of mājaṇēṃ. Ex. kāya vēḍyāñcā bājāra macalā; kāya dhiṅgādhāṅgī macalī.

mācaṇēṃ (माचणें).—v c To fill up (the central portion of a terrace, floor, foundation, wall, well, or any hollow or hole) with stones &c: also to fill up crevices or chinks. The verb takes for its object either the place filled or the material employed to fill. Ex. jamīna mācalī, vihīra mācalī, pāyā mācalā, gāra mācalī, khaḍē mācalē.
