Dr. Wilson as the rendering of the Hebrew Peres and the English Ossifrage; the name being descriptive, not indeed of breaking of bones, but of (dashing violently against and) forcing to roll over (the precipice);-this being the characteristic practice of that bird now popularly understood by the name Lämmer-Geyer of Switzerland and the Alps.
