Source: OpenEdition books: Vividhatīrthakalpaḥ (History)Lohajaṃghavaṇa (लोहजंघवण) is one of twelve forests, associated with Mahurā, as is mentioned in the Vividhatīrthakalpa by Jinaprabhasūri (13th century A.D.): an ancient text devoted to various Jaina holy places (tīrthas).—Twelve forests [(9) 18.31-32], § 4: Kāmiavaṇa; Kumuavaṇa; Kolavaṇa; Khairavaṇa; Tālavaṇa; Bahulāvana; Billavaṇa; Bhaṃḍīravaṇa; Mahāvaṇa; Mahuvaṇa; Lohajaṃghavaṇa; Viṃdāvaṇa (cf. Entwistle 1987 p. 299 and BEI 9 p. 47).
