麟角 [lin jiao]—Qilin's Horn

[Technical Term] (術語 [shu yu]) It is fully named "Qilin's Horn Metaphor" (喻 [yu]), abbreviated as "Qilin's Horn", or also called "Qilin Metaphor" (麟喻 [lin yu]). The unique realization (獨證 [du zheng]) of a Pratyekabuddha (緣覺佛 [yuan jue fu]) is likened to a single horn of a qilin. See the entry for Pratyekabuddha (獨覺 [du jue]).

In 数学 [shu xue] (mathematics), 邻角 [lin jiao] (adjacent angles) refer to two 角 [jiao] (angles) formed by three 直线 [zhi xian] (straight lines) intersecting at one 点 [dian] (point) on a 平面 [ping mian] (plane), which share a common 顶点 [ding dian] (vertex) and a common 边 [bian] (side).
