Source: archive.org: Puranic EncyclopediaLīlātilakam (लीलातिलकम्).—The first book of Literary criticism in Malayālam. The author of the book is unknown. The book is divided into eight parts. Maṇipravāla, Malayālaśabdas, Alaṅkāra, Kāvyaguṇas, Kāvyadoṣas and Rasa are critically examined in this book.
The Purana (पुराण, purāṇas) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India’s vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences. The eighteen mahapuranas total over 400,000 shlokas (metrical couplets) and date to at least several centuries BCE.
