lēṇēṃ (लेणें).—v c To put on (trinkets or ornaments): also to lay on or apply (pigments, collyrium &c. for personal decoration). Ex. aḷaṅkāra kēśavā lēvavilē ||. 2 In poetry and amongst the vulgar. To put on or to cast over the body (clothes, apparel). Note. This verb, although transitive, does not inflect the subject. See To put on in E. and M. Dict.
