Source: DDSA: A practical Hindi-English dictionary1) Laṭṭha (लट्ठ) [Also spelled latth]:—(nm) a cudgel; long heavy staff; (a) blockhead, stupid; —[gaṃvāra] stupid and boorish; ~[baṃda] equipped with a [laṭṭha]; a cudgel-wielder; one who is equipped with a [laṭṭha; ~bāja] skilled in wielding or brandishing a [laṭṭha; ~bājī] cudgel fighting; skill in wielding a [laṭṭha; ~māra] uncivil; harshly forthright; —[lie phiranā] to be always out to fight, inclined to pick up a fight; to be hostile to; -[lie phiranā, akla ke pīche] to go out demanding tribute of the dead.
