Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarylāṭaṇēṃ (लाटणें).—v c To roll out (cakes &c.) 2 To turn round or make to revolve (a waterwheel &c.): also to roll or throw out (the water). 3 To form (felt &c.) by passing the hand rapidly and reiterately over the sized wool. 4 To thrust or force along or in in a violent, heedless, or inconsiderate manner. lāṭaṇēṃ is freely used in modifications or applications of this sense, and in the figurative senses of ragaḍaṇēṃ & dapaṭaṇēṃ.
