laṭalaṭaṇēṃ (लटलटणें).—v i (laṭalaṭa) To hang quiveringly or wavingly; to play loosely in the wind; to dangle: also to shake tremulously and quickly; to be in lively agitation: also to rock or shake; to move about from slackness or looseness. 2 fig. To intermeddle or interfere; to thrust one's self into officiously and disturbingly. 3 To look bright and glittering;--used esp. of a pearl: also to look beaming, blooming, glistening;--used of a countenance or complexion.
