老哥哥 [lǎo gē gē] [lao ge ge]—
Term of address (稱謂 [cheng wei]). An honorific (尊稱 [zun cheng]) for someone who is familiar (熟識 [shu shi]) and older (年齡較長者 [nian ling jiao zhang zhe]). For example: 'Thanks to the deference (禮讓 [li rang]) of (lǎo gē ge), your humble younger brother (小弟 [xiao di]) was able to win first place (拔得頭籌 [ba de tou chou]).'
