Lakṣmīvivṛddhi (लक्ष्मीविवृद्धि) [=Lakṣmīvṛddhi?] refers to an “increase of prosperity”, according to the Bṛhatsaṃhitā (chapter 4), an encyclopedic Sanskrit work written by Varāhamihira mainly focusing on the science of ancient Indian astronomy astronomy (Jyotiṣa).—Accordingly, “Having thus described the shape of the moon we next proceed to describe her size (generally): [...] If she should appear broad, she will increase the prosperity of the princes [i.e., narapati-lakṣmīvivṛddi]; if she should appear big there, will be happiness in the land, and if small, there will be abundance of that grain which men like most”.
