Lying or idle and overabundant talk; false and ceaseless tattle. 2 (As derived by some from lākha Gum-lac, and pacōtarī as a form of reduplication.) Mere varnish; empty gloss or showiness; lying or falseness (of persons or of appearances). 3 Used also as a Showy but hollow; fair-looking or fair-professing but false.
